Position Overview
The Sprints Product team at Carrot is seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Content Designer to join our fast-moving product collective in a part-time remote contract capacity. In this hands-on early-stage product design seat, you will claim accountability for shaping intuitive mobile application experiences aimed at improving metabolic health outcomes across diverse member populations. Working closely alongside dedicated Product Managers, clinical advisors, and frontend software developers, you will compose clear UX microcopy optimized for daily patient interaction. This role demands a tech-forward content engineer who treats generative AI platforms as core infrastructure components, utilizing advanced prompt workflows to scale volume and efficiency without breaking clinical safety baselines.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile UX Copywriting & Refinement: Write, test, and optimize high-conversion UX copy across a mobile platform designed for daily user engagement, healthy habit building, and behavioral habit tracking.
- LLM Prompt Engineering Optimization: Develop, refine, and iterate on complex Large Language Model (LLM) prompts natively inside tools like Claude Code to unlock personalized, scalable member content modules.
- Systemic Content Capability Scaling: Build modern content generation frameworks leveraging automated transformer infrastructure for production volume, while preserving human safety parameters where clinical accuracy demands it.
- Cross-Functional Design Co-Authoring: Partner tightly with internal product designers to map out structural interface flows, layout prototypes, and interactive micro-copy blocks natively within Figma.
- Research Ingestion & Translation: Translate user experience (UX) research insights, customer support logs, and qualitative test data into high-performing design iterations.
- Stakeholder Consensus Building: Facilitate formal interface reviews, explain content design rationale to clinical partners, and align cross-functional engineering cells around user needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of verified professional history running product content design, digital UX writing, interface copywriting, or user experience architecture pipelines.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant quantitative communication, software design, or adjacent academic field.
- An elite content design portfolio showcasing structural systems thinking, precise interface copywriting, and measurable user retention metrics within a digital product framework.
- Hands-on operational experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) as a foundational pillar of your design pipeline, including prompt testing, evaluation loops, and parsing adjustments.
- Functional familiarity collaborating inside contemporary visual design and AI build applications, primarily Figma and Claude Code networks.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with a demonstrated capability to synthesize complex healthcare data into clear text blocks.
- Location Context: Flexible part-time contract operational parameters giving qualified designers the absolute flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the United States or supported global tech regions.
- Bandwidth Commitment: Readiness to fulfill a predictable commitment encompassing 80 to 100 working hours per calendar month.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience designing content or user interfaces within a healthtech startup, metabolic health program, digital pharmacy, or regulated clinical workspace.
- Conceptual understanding of behavioral design methodologies, game mechanics, or routine loop tracking interfaces designed for repeat consumer engagement.
What We Offer
- Premium Hourly Compensation Matrix: An attractive contract wage scaling between $80.00 – $100.00 USD per hour, calibrated transparently to match your technical background, portfolio results, and functional skill level.
- The exceptional professional runway to program, build, and optimize the user interface components directly impacting global health and family equity.
- Profound work-from-home remote parameters providing excellent lifestyle autonomy, scheduling flexibility, and a supportive, egoless workspace.
- Continuous alignment with an internationally acclaimed enterprise repeatedly named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list and Fortune’s Best Workplaces in Healthcare.
