Position Overview

We are seeking a highly collaborative, solutions-focused Computer Science Trainer to lead, plan, and deliver our state-level educator development activities across Odisha. Located within designated district headquarters, you will act as the principal on-ground liaison, executing computing curriculum implementations, delivering face-to-face teacher training, and hosting online webinars. This position demands an experienced STEM educator fluent in Odia who can engage effectively with state government stakeholders, manage local training logistics, and drive continuous improvement across computing education courses.

Key Responsibilities

  • State Training Delivery: Plan, execute, and evaluate high-impact computing teacher training workshops, online webinars, and on-site classroom lesson observations.
  • Educator Community Management: Act as the primary point of contact for regional teacher queries, nurturing professional communities through virtual meet-ups and shared learning frameworks.
  • Logistical Infrastructure Governance: Manage local program operations end-to-end, including scouting venues, coordinating computing equipment setups, and running pre-event quality checks.
  • Partner Onboarding Strategy: Guide state-level project onboarding workflows, driving teacher needs assessments, nomination protocols, and safeguarding compliance audits.
  • Government Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain trusted relationships with key state education department authorities to secure steady program adoption across schools.
  • Impact & Progress Tracking: Collaborate with internal curriculum divisions to implement monitoring and evaluation datasets to track learning progression trajectories.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Substantial prior teaching experience with a proven track record designing and delivering Train-of-Trainers (ToT) frameworks, ideally focused on computing or STEM education fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a core STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics); a formal teaching qualification is highly preferable.
  • Absolute professional proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the Odia language natively.
  • Deep working knowledge of the formal education system in Odisha, including regional curriculum structures and school board adoption processes.
  • Demonstrated program management experience, with the capacity to run complex project timelines and manage ground stakeholder friction autonomously.
  • Location Context: Based out of district headquarters in any of the following regions: Angul, Balangir, Malkangiri, Sonepur, Boudh, or Nuapada, with comfort performing regular travel to regional schools.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience coordinating educational expansion tracks or curriculum audits within recognized international non-profit organizations.
  • Familiarity navigating modern online learning management systems (LMS) and digital student tracking metrics dashboards.
