April
View Company ProfileApril (operating under getapril.com, legally April Tax Solutions Inc.) is the premier, enterprise-grade AI-powered embedded tax platform, financial technology innovator, and digital tax compliance orchestration powerhouse engineered to act as the definitive, high-velocity tax filing, forecasting, and historical transcript retrieval layer for modern banks, wealth management applications, neo-banks, and gig-economy platforms. Co-founded in 2021 by visionary fintech leaders Ben Borodach (CEO) and Daniel Marcous (CTO, former lead data scientist at Google Israel and CTO at Waze), the company completely eliminates the severe systemic friction of modern consumer tax management—where taxpayers face stressful, high-friction, and costly annual tax-preparation software, while financial institutions miss critical opportunities to capture user refunds and cross-sell wealth products—by delivering an advanced, code-first embedded tax execution matrix. Moving far beyond traditional, siloed DIY tax apps or legacy desktop accounting suites, April natively unifies robust real-time API data ingestion, direct pre-fill capabilities, a task-based reactive user interface that abandons rigid forms-based flows, and a white-label SDK designed to match the native UX of host applications into a high-availability developer platform. Serving as a trusted core utility for leading fintechs and wealth managers, the system powers native tax filing integrations for prominent partners including Chime, Carry, Compound Planning, Percapita, and Tongo. Demonstrating immense market validation, the high-growth enterprise has secured over $78 million in institutional venture capital—anchored by a marquee $38 million Series B financing round to scale its AI-driven tax engine—with elite backing from QED Investors, NYCA Partners, Team8, Treasury Partners, Euclidean Capital, and Atento Capital. Under the hood, its technology core utilizes optimized programmatic rulesets, secure SOC 2 Type II data privacy compliance, automated multi-region filing logic, and secure IRS and state e-file integrations designed to process complex tax returns with absolute calculations correctness. What sets April apart is its uncompromising dedication to replacing fragmented, third-party tax redirects with absolute in-app processing predictability, automated data pre-population, and proactive tax-planning capabilities; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive API structures and everyday financial wellness tools, the platform remains a definitive cornerstone of modern algorithmic tax technology and global digital workspace transformation.
