Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Mendix)

You’ll help drive digital innovation by:

• Advising our customers on adopting cloud and hybrid hosting solutions for Mendix and adjacent solutions, based on cost implications, performance, and security requirements.
• Assisting customers with installation, configuration, operations, supervising, and solving of Mendix platform deployments in Kubernetes environments (mainly AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Rancher, OpenShift) at hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) as well as on customer premises.
• Supporting customers with pre-existing CI/CD pipelines, to implement/optimize Mendix deployments in their own infrastructure.
• Getting trained on innovative Mendix Cloud Architecture principles and its deployment and integration possibilities.
• This role requires the ability to both define and explain (i.e. architect), as well as implement and troubleshoot (i.e. engineer), highly automated hosting infrastructure.
• Experimenting with innovative approaches to automating cloud infrastructure, deployments, and AI-driven infrastructure.

Requirements:

• A self-starting and professional mentality that loves to engage with customers and understands how modern platform infrastructures can create business value and drive innovation in their organization.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding and practical experience in microservices architectures and containerized environments. 4+ years of professional experience required, with ideally 2+ years working with modern cloud infrastructures.
• Experience with architecting, building, and operating highly automated and containerized Cloud infrastructure. Designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes-based architectures on public (AWS or Azure) and private cloud platforms (Rancher, OpenShift) is no secret for you. Relevant certifications in these areas are a plus.
• Must have database administration (Postgres, SQLServer, Oracle), cloud-database/data lake, authentication (AWS IAM/Azure Entra) and network (Ingress, reverse proxies, enterprise-grade network) skills.
• Must have implementation and integration experience with commonly used CI/CD tooling (such as GIT/SVN, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Ability to travel to client sites routinely.

Bonus Experience:

• Relevant cloud architecture & infrastructure certifications.
• Professional certification from AWS / GCP / Azure.
• BA/BS or Masters in Computer Science (or technical equivalent).
• Extra credit for experience with any major low-code platform (Pega, Outsystems, Service Now), AI platforms (n8n), Graph Databases, and vectorization techniques.
• Governmental security clearances.
