Operating as an agile, client-centric consultancy, the team combines programmatic infrastructure design with industry-best security guardrails to deliver robust data networks that maximize production performance for organizations worldwide.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly sophisticated, automation-minded Cloud Engineer - DevOps to join our core Engineering division in a full-time remote capacity within the United States. In this client-facing engineering leadership seat, you will serve as a primary technical authority across multiple parallel client engagements, designing and implementing secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure networks. Moving far beyond boilerplate scripts, you will claim full responsibility for building reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) architectures, configuring automated CI/CD deployment rails, and establishing unified logging pipelines. This role demands a seasoned consultant who can translate ambiguous business needs into durable, fault-tolerant solutions while acting as an institutional force multiplier for DevOps best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Declarative Infrastructure Provisioning: Design, build, and deploy secure, scalable AWS environments across multi-tenant portfolios leveraging declarative Terraform or CloudFormation configurations.
- Container Orchestration Scaling: Architect and manage high-availability container networks, deploying application microservices smoothly within Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS Docker environments.
- Automated CI/CD Release Pipelines: Establish and optimize robust continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines leveraging Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Progressive Deployment Management: Coordinate secure cloud-native migration and workload modernization efforts, executing advanced mitigation strategies including blue/green, canary, and rolling deployment loops.
- Full-Stack Observability & Telemetry: Construct integrated platform monitoring, application performance tracing, and log aggregation topologies using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and ELK stack platforms.
- Advanced SRE Strategy Mapping: Define operational telemetry baselines, structuralizing Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and automated alerting matrices to reduce incident response latency.
- Maintenance & Systems Scripting: Program clear infrastructure management macros, environment diagnostic components, and system automation tools using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Client-Facing Advisory Integration: Collaborate tightly alongside internal Solutions Architects, Project Managers, and client technical leads to deliver knowledge transfers and resolve complex networking blockers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of verified commercial history running AWS cloud engineering, DevOps automation, system virtualization, or infrastructure tracking pipelines.
- Deep, authoritative functional familiarity with core Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystems, spanning EC2 computing, VPC networking, Lambda functions, S3 storage, and IAM access controls.
- Hands-on operational history configuring modular Infrastructure as Code blueprints using Terraform or CloudFormation tools.
- Proven background building and tuning automated application delivery rails using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions platforms.
- Outstanding visual and verbal communication mechanics, with a demonstrated ability to present technical cloud concepts cleanly to non-technical stakeholders in a consulting environment.
- Location Context: Full-time remote-first operational parameters open exclusively to qualified DevOps engineers permanently located anywhere within the United States.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Possession of industry-recognized professional badges, specifically the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (required within 90 days of onboarding), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) credentials.
- Prior background implementing service mesh architectures, advanced serverless workflows (Step Functions, EventBridge), or Aurora/DynamoDB performance tunings.
- Practical knowledge of cost optimization rules, FinOps workflows, and automated vulnerability scanning configurations.
What We Offer
- Strategic Compensation Guideline: A highly competitive annual base salary scale calibrated between $100,000 – $160,000 USD, tailored transparently to match your specific location, domain skills, and professional experience.
- The exceptional technical canvas to directly guide, program, and scale the automation infrastructure backing prominent corporate transformations.
- Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering high lifestyle autonomy, clear scheduling predictability, and complete geographic freedom.
- A mature, employee-centric workplace benefits architecture encompassing extensive medical insurance networks, dental protection, vision coverages, corporate matching retirement structures, and dedicated funding allocations for advanced AWS certifications.
