We are seeking a Clinical Revenue Cycle Sr Associate. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day tasks related to clinical revenue management and charge capture optimization projects, applying both your technical expertise and interpersonal skills to support our clients. By leveraging advanced technology tools, you will deliver high-quality analysis and process improvement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' revenue cycles. You’ll also collaborate with various levels of client leadership, making a tangible impact on their operations.
The ideal candidate for this role will have hands-on experience in Professional Billing coding / coding auditing, charging, provider coding education, or experience managing a physician practice or clinic. Experience with professional clinical documentation and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Athena, Epic) are also preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field is required (an MBA, MHA, and/or MPH is highly desirable).
- Experience: 3-5 years of deep healthcare experience is required, with a focus on professional billing coding and charging.
- Consulting Expertise: Previous experience in a professional services or consulting role is essential, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering client-focused solutions.
- Revenue Cycle Knowledge: Expertise in professional revenue cycle management, with a specific focus on coding and charge capture processes, is required.
- Technical Proficiency & Certification: Strong technical knowledge in your area of expertise, along with relevant licensure or certifications (e.g., CPC, COC, CPPM, CRCR, CIRCC, RHIA) is expected.
- Leadership & Project Management: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, guide cross-functional teams, and interact with all levels of client and internal staff.
- Analytical & Financial Skills: Exceptional financial and analytical skills are required, with a strong aptitude for using data and data analytics tools (e.g., Excel) to drive decision-making and process improvement.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Business Development: Prior experience in sales or business development is a plus, showcasing the ability to foster client relationships and grow business opportunities.
- Travel Requirements: This position requires up to 20% travel to client sites as needed.
