Radiology is the second most used healthcare service, used by over 51% of the workforce annually. Despite its critical role, the process for undergoing a medical imaging exam has remained unchanged for decades. OneImaging is solving this with a concierge approach and a premium-quality radiology network of over 5,000 vetted providers across 48 states, reducing imaging costs by 60-80%. Their solution helps patients and families access essential radiology services at fair prices, without surprise bills, while delivering immediate savings and ROI for employers and payers.

What You’ll Do:

Clinical Escalations Across the Member Journey

  • Own resolution of clinical escalations end-to-end, including order processing and coding issues, protocol mismatches, authorization complications, facility capability gaps, and appointment-day problems.
  • Partner with ordering providers, imaging facilities, and payers to resolve issues quickly and keep members moving toward appointment completion.
  • Identify escalation patterns and drive root-cause fixes back into workflows, training, and product to prevent recurring issues.
  • Serve as the escalation point for frontline teams on clinical questions during scheduling, order intake, and appointment coordination.

Operational Workflows, Training & Talk Tracks

  • Review and continuously refine clinically-informed operational workflows across the member imaging journey to reduce friction.
  • Build and deliver training for internal teams on radiology fundamentals, including modalities, protocols, contrast considerations, prep requirements, and site-of-care nuances.
  • Review and refine member- and provider-facing talk tracks to ensure they are clinically accurate, plain-language, and empathetic.

Product Development

  • Act as the embedded radiology Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the product team, informing requirements, reviewing designs, and validating assumptions against real-world clinical and operational practices.
  • Help define what “clinically correct” looks like in product logic, from order-to-CPT mapping to appropriateness and site-of-care routing.

About You:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in radiology operations, with hands-on exposure across both health system/hospital-based imaging and outpatient/freestanding imaging center environments.
  • Deep working knowledge of the imaging order lifecycle: order intake, CPT/ICD-10 coding, protocoling, prior authorization, scheduling, prep and contrast requirements, and appointment completion.
  • Fluency across modalities (MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, DEXA) and their operational and clinical nuances.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate clinical knowledge for non-clinical audiences, such as explaining protocoling to engineers or prior authorization to new member services representatives.
  • Strong escalation management instincts: calm under pressure, resourceful, and relentless about getting members to a resolved outcome.

Startup Readiness:

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, dynamically changing environment where priorities shift and processes are still being built.
  • A builder’s mentality—seeing gaps as opportunities to create something rather than blockers to progress.
  • Low ego, high ownership: no task is beneath you.
  • Energized by the scrappiness of an early-stage startup rather than culture-shocked by it.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinical or technical credential (e.g., RT(R), CT/MRI certification, RN, or radiology practice management background).
  • Experience with radiology benefit management (RBM), utilization management, or payer-side imaging programs.
  • Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems, HL7/FHIR order workflows, or imaging network operations.
