Civil Quantity Surveyor

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our Civil Group. This role plays a key part in the success of civil construction projects by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for infrastructure works including roads, subdivisions, landscaping, utilities, and other major civil developments. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all bids and tenders are delivered with precision and within strict deadlines.

What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, labour, and equipment.
• Prepare Procurement Packages and send them to the market to obtain subcontractor pricing.
• Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes to prepare comprehensive bids and tender proposals.
• Collaborate with engineers and Project Managers to align on project costs and methodologies.
• Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain up-to-date cost databases, pricing records, and complete Quality Documentation on active projects.
• Complete End of Month Reporting for Clients.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of Civil Quantity Surveyor experience with Australian based clients.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent Excel knowledge and ability to manipulate provided templates.
• Bonus: Proven experience with estimating software such as Expert Estimation, Buildsoft, or Candy is highly favourable.
