Business Development Representative I - Marine

About the Role: Octane is unlocking the power of financial products for merchants and consumers by delivering seamless digital experiences and transparent lending. We are searching for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to call on qualified, prospective, and enrolled franchised and independent powersports dealerships. Your goal is to sell Octane's primary value proposition of Speed and Ease, positioning us as a solution to their lending needs to increase loan volume and market penetration.

What You'll Do

• Make multiple outbound calls to powersports dealerships, including heavy cold calling.
• Achieve monthly production, enrollment, and engagement goals.
• Qualify leads from multiple sources including digital campaigns, conferences, referrals, and trade shows.
• Create and maintain an accurate database/CRM of current and prospective clients.
• Resolve dealership issues in a timely manner and seek guidance on complex dealer issues.
• Work with the Director of Sales & Partnerships to optimize daily workflows.

What You Bring

• 0-2 years of experience with inside sales or operating in a high call volume environment.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Energetic, friendly, and goal-driven attitude with the resilience to handle rejection.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging prospective clients.
• Familiarity with G-Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Microsoft Office.

• Base salary range: $50,000 - $65,000 USD per year + corporate bonus and stock options.
