Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, data-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our expanding APAC Enterprise Sales division. Based permanently in South Korea, you will serve as MinIO’s primary localized market presence, leading both inbound lead qualification and outbound pipeline generation across the Korean tech ecosystem. Working in close cross-functional coordination with Account Executives (AEs) and regional marketing squads, you will research corporate accounts, engage technical infrastructure personas, and advance enterprise sales opportunities across the cloud storage and data engineering landscape. This position demands an independent hunter who thrives under structured success metrics and possesses absolute professional bilingual fluency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Demand Qualification: Rapidly respond to all regional inbound marketing qualified leads (MQLs), evaluating corporate accounts for Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) alignment, storage scale parameters, and database environment fit.
  • Targeted Outbound Prospecting: Formulate and deploy personalized outbound communication sequences via email, phone, and LinkedIn targeting data engineering, infrastructure architecture, and AI/ML leadership personas at Korean enterprises.
  • Open-Source Monetization: Develop and execute data-informed account-based plays to successfully convert MinIO’s localized open-source software user base into commercial enterprise customers.
  • Real-Time Digital Engagement: Serve as the primary front-line responder for corporate website live chat systems, engaging technical prospects in real time to diagnose active infrastructure use cases and deployment urgency.
  • Event & Campaign Recruitment: Execute comprehensive pre-event audience recruitment and post-event lead optimization loops supporting webinars, regional conferences, and APAC field marketing initiatives.
  • CRM System Administration: Document deep research insights, technical prospect objections, and call details cleanly within centralized tracking systems, keeping Salesforce, HubSpot, and Outreach records complete.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of verified professional history running outbound prospecting, demand generation, inside sales, or business development pipelines within a B2B technology or enterprise software company.
  • Absolute, full professional bilingual fluency (both written and verbal communication mechanics) in Korean and English is required.
  • Demonstrated history of success executing cold outbound plays into large-scale Korean enterprises or local subsidiaries of multinational corporations.
  • Hands-on operational experience building prospect list paths using enterprise sales tooling, including Salesforce, HubSpot, and Outreach.
  • Foundational familiarity with enterprise software concepts, including cloud storage, data infrastructure, Kubernetes, or AI/ML operational stacks.
  • Deep conceptual understanding of multi-tiered enterprise buying dynamics, long sales cycles, and qualification methodologies.
  • Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time operational flexibility tailored exclusively for qualified business development specialists based permanently inside South Korea.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or an adjacent technical or commercial management discipline.
  • Direct technical experience prospecting on behalf of high-performance object storage systems, database managers, or cloud virtualization software architectures.
  • Proven capacity to independently analyze intent signals, intent datasets, and corporate account signals to design high-conversion sequences.
