Job Description
About the Role: Openly is rebuilding insurance from the ground up by re-envisioning and enhancing every aspect of the customer experience. We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) responsible for generating new relationships with prospective agencies looking to sell Openly's homeowner product. Your focus will be to contact and develop relationships with potential agents and seamlessly transition them through the Openly appointment process.
What You'll Do
- Receive inbound leads and initiate the agency appointment process by triaging agencies.
- Supplement the pipeline of agency appointments with outbound calls and email campaigns.
- Cultivate relationships with potential agency partners by doing discovery and attaining key business metrics.
- Set up meetings between prospective agencies and the Openly business development associates (BDAs).
- Manage and maintain strong data integrity and hygiene in our CRM across leads, opportunities, and accounts.
What You Bring
- 1+ years of outstanding sales performance with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
- Experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calling and email campaigns.
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and value-based selling skills.
- Property & casualty insurance producer license, or the ability to get one within the first four weeks of employment.
- Bonus: 1 or more years of experience in the P&C insurance industry.

- Budgeted salary range of $54,960 - $60,000 / year plus cash incentive compensation (commissions).
