At Hourly, we are building the most advanced insurtech and payroll platform that seamlessly integrates with our workers’ compensation offering, simplifying the entire process for business owners and our insurance agency partners.
Hourly is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join its growing Product team. In this role, you will help bridge business needs and technical execution by gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and supporting the successful delivery of product initiatives.
Working closely with Product Owners, Engineering, Design, and stakeholders across the organization, you will ensure that product requirements are clearly documented, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving problems through technology.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Support Product Owners in managing and refining the product backlog.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify business opportunities, process improvements, and product enhancements.
- Work closely with Engineering and Design teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Assist in defining and documenting workflows, business processes, and system requirements.
- Support testing efforts by validating completed functionality against business requirements.
- Monitor product performance and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Create reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Help ensure alignment between business goals and delivered product functionality.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and potential gaps within product initiatives.
