Your Role
We’re seeking a Brand & Marketing Manager to join our team. You will help shape how FutureFit AI shows up in the world through content, social media, and strategic storytelling. You’ll turn the ideas, expertise, events, conversations, and perspectives across our company into content that builds credibility, differentiates our brand, and gets FutureFit AI into the right conversations.
This is an individual contributor role sitting within the Strategy & Manage pillar, working closely with the CEO, Chief Commercial Officer, Marketing Manager, and Director of Policy. You’ll operate at the intersection of content creation, business strategy, and market positioning.
LinkedIn and short-form video are important channels, but this is not consumer or influencer marketing. The goal is to create serious, credible content that helps FutureFit AI mature as a brand and strengthens how we are perceived by investors, policy makers, industry leaders, and customers.
What You’ll Own
Content creation & storytelling: Turn company activity into compelling content. You’ll follow our team into conferences, events, customer conversations, and industry moments, identify the stories worth telling, capture the right footage and perspectives, and turn them into polished content across channels.
Brand voice and identity: A consistent FutureFit AI voice across the website, social, decks, episode collateral, and founder communications. You’ll help mature and sharpen that voice as the company grows, ensuring that FutureFit AI comes across as credible, thoughtful, differentiated, and relevant to the audiences that matter most.
LinkedIn and social media: Own the day-to-day content strategy and execution across LinkedIn and relevant social channels. Understand what conversations are happening in workforce development, technology, policy, and the future of work, and know how to position FutureFit AI within them.
Thought leadership & distribution: Identify the newsletters, podcasts, publications, industry voices, and communities where FutureFit AI should have a presence. Build relationships and proactively find opportunities to get our people and ideas into the right conversations.
The show: Own the editorial and operational execution of our CEO-hosted video/podcast series on the future of work. Manage production cadence, guest pipeline, editorial direction, episode development, publishing, and promotion.
Written content: Show notes, episode pages, guest bios, newsletter copy, founder communications. You’ll write and edit across formats, with a particular focus on turning complex ideas into clear, compelling stories for professional and policy audiences.
Strategic brand positioning: Partner with leadership to think about how FutureFit AI should show up in the market: How do we come across when someone Googles us? How do we show up to investors? How do we build credibility with policy makers? How do we differentiate ourselves within workforce development technology?
Cross-functional partnership: Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Chief Commercial Officer, Director of Policy, & CEO. You won’t own the broader marketing function, but your content and brand work will be a key input into marketing, commercial, and policy efforts.
Required Experience
Experience in content, social media, communications, marketing, business strategy, policy, consulting, or a related field. We care more about the quality and breadth of your experience than a specific career path.
Demonstrated ability to create content that is credible and compelling in a B2B2C, B2G, policy, technology, or other professional environment.
Demonstrated fluency with LinkedIn as a B2B platform, with a feel for what works in a serious, professional industry. You know how to build a point of view, participate in an existing conversation, and get the right people paying attention.
Comfort with short-form video as a creative and editorial tool. You do not have to be the editor, but you should be able to brief one, QA a cut, write a hook, and understand pacing for vertical formats.
Strong content creation instincts. You can walk into a conference or industry event, understand what matters, capture the right moments, and turn them into a narrative rather than simply producing a collection of clips.
Sharp written communication. The ability to draft in a voice that is not your own and hold it consistently across surfaces.
A demonstrated ability to ship on cadence rather than on inspiration.
Comfort using modern AI and digital tools to accelerate content research, creation, editing, distribution, and operations.
Strategic curiosity. You’re interested in why a company wins, how markets evolve, and how a brand can differentiate itself within a crowded or complex industry.
Comfort operating around senior leaders and subject matter experts. You can ask smart questions, absorb complex information quickly, and turn it into something an audience actually wants to consume.
Bonus Points
Direct experience producing or operating a B2B video podcast.
Content experience in B2G, government, philanthropy, or otherwise regulated industries.
Light video editing chops.
Background in workforce development, AI, or B2B SaaS.
Experience working in or around public policy, government, economic development, education, employment, or other policy-adjacent environments.
Experience at a B2B2C or B2B2G company.
Experience working through a period of significant company growth, such as scaling through Series A/B.
Experience translating business, policy, or technical concepts into accessible content.
The Unicorn
We’d be especially excited about someone who brings an unusual combination of skills: strong content and social instincts paired with business or policy fluency.
Maybe you started in management consulting and realized you wanted to build rather than advise. Maybe you came from policy and made a right turn into content. Maybe you have traditional social media experience but know how to frame ideas for a government or enterprise audience.
The common thread: you can think strategically about how a company should show up in the market, and then roll up your sleeves and create the content to make it happen.
Your Education
Your alma mater isn’t our focus. Your grit, hunger, and drive are. If you learn continuously, tackle challenges head-on, and know your strengths and gaps intimately, you’re our person.
Location
This role is hybrid in either New York City or Toronto. For candidates living in Toronto, our office is conveniently located at 325 Front St West (a short walk from Union Station). Open to remote, east coast.
Travel Expectations
Although this role is hybrid, you may be expected to travel up to once per quarter, primarily for show recordings, offsites, or events.
