Brand Designer (Freelance) for Tendem Project

Mindrift is seeking a highly skilled Brand Designer to join the Tendem project and create strong visual identities for real-world brands and products. In this role, you’ll apply your expertise in brand strategy, visual identity, and design systems to craft cohesive, modern, and impactful brand assets. This part-time remote opportunity is ideal for creative professionals with hands-on experience in brand asset creation, visual identity development, and maintaining brand consistency.

About the Role

This is a freelance role focused on brand asset creation, visual identity, and brand consistency. You will serve as the architect of the brand identity, modernizing aesthetics and ensuring all visual touchpoints remain cohesive across various mediums using industry-standard design tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop foundational brand assets, including logos, complete visual identities, and comprehensive color schemes.
• Create, systematically organize, and deliver variations of core brand elements.
• Act as the strict gatekeeper for brand consistency across all internal and external materials, including pitch decks and social media kits.
• Build scalable, long-lasting visual systems that align with modern design standards.
• Enforce design quality through cross-platform validation, ensuring brand aesthetics translate flawlessly across digital and print mediums.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in brand design, graphic design, art direction, or visual communications is desirable.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communication Design, or related creative fields is a plus.
• Academic and/or Professional Experience:

  Candidates must have a strong portfolio focused on brand identity creation, logo design, and comprehensive brand guidelines. A strategic, detail-obsessed approach and the ability to work independently to build long-lasting visual systems are essential.

• Technical Skills (Essential):
  • Brand Identity Creation: Expertise in building scalable logos, distinct color palettes, and typography systems.
  • Design Tools: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Figma for managing core design assets.
  • Cross-Medium Adaptation: Ability to translate brand DNA across digital and print formats.
  • Brand System Architecture: Strong organizational skills to develop clear brand guidelines and structured asset libraries.
