Bookkeeper

We're looking for a long-term teammate who wants to build a career here and grow alongside the firm, not a short-term gig. There's no minimum years of experience. We care most about solid bookkeeping fundamentals and a strong drive to learn.

Our founder handles all client bookkeeping today, backed by two partners who focus on software, processes, and marketing. Demand is outpacing capacity, so we're adding our first bookkeeper: someone we hope will grow with us for the long haul. You'll get hands-on training, documented SOPs, and a direct line to the owner from day one.

Duties and Responsibilities

• You'll own day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of small-business clients, working toward full independence after training.
• Maintain accurate general ledgers for multiple clients in QuickBooks Online
• Categorize transactions and keep books current through weekly maintenance tasks
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts
• Support full-cycle accounting, including month-end close for each client
• Follow and help refine internal SOPs as our processes mature
• Flag discrepancies, missing documents, or client questions early and communicate clearly with the owner
• Handle sensitive financial information, such as bank accounts, payroll, and tax data, with discretion

Requirements

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• General knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting concepts, such as debits and credits, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Experience in a startup or early-stage environment, and comfort with evolving processes
• Self-motivated, with the initiative to own tasks and meet deadlines with minimal reminders
• Responsive, organized, and a clear communicator
