Backend Software Engineer

The Role

The Backend Software Engineer is a crucial contributor to Oneleet's success, providing technical expertise and innovative solutions in our cybersecurity platform. As a Series A startup, this role offers unique opportunities for close collaboration with the founding team and cross-functional departments. You'll be instrumental in building and optimizing our backend services and infrastructure, working with modern technologies across our stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs in Go

• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for high-volume data

• Build reliable orchestration and integration layers across internal and third-party systems

• Implement metrics, distributed tracing, and observability across services

• Collaborate with the Engineering team on improving the overall Developer Experience

• Implement security best practices

• Collaborate with frontend, fullstack, and the broader engineering team

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with Go and designing REST APIs

• Experience writing optimized PostgreSQL queries

• Comfortable building reliable integrations with third-party APIs and services

• Scrappy; prior startup experience and not afraid to get their hands dirty

• Pragmatic; knows how to build things fast without unnecessarily complicating things

• Expert time management; we work with clients all over the world. We don't expect anyone to be working 24/7 - but we are looking for someone comfortable operating outside of the 9-5 mentality

• Comfortable wearing many hats and eagerly adjusts to shifting priorities

• Experience in (and thrives in) a fast-moving, start-up engineering environment

• Excellent communication skills across all levels of technical proficiency

• Experience with architecting, building and maintaining SaaS platform backends
