The Legal team at Life360 collaborates across functions, including Ads, Finance, Product, Privacy, Engineering, and Devices, to provide client-focused legal services and support growth initiatives.
About the Job
Life360 is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, Ads with 5+ years of experience in advising ad-tech companies. This role involves advising on privacy, consumer protection, and content regulation matters related to Life360’s advertising business. You will serve as the primary legal point of contact for Ad Sales and Ads Product Managers and collaborate with teams like Marketing, Comms, and Infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle, including the SSP and DSP business.
- Ensuring compliance with privacy and data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Advising on content regulation matters, including ads content policies and enforcement.
- Monitoring and providing guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in the ad-tech space.
- Developing and implementing risk management strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space, including experience directly advising software product managers and engineers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection matters.
- A J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar.
- CIPP/US certification is preferred.
