Position Overview
We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and development-oriented AI/ML Engineer to lead the modernization of legacy enterprise software frameworks under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across the United States. In this high-leverage data-engineering seat, you will hold absolute technical ownership over designing, building, and scaling intelligence layers to automate and enhance pharmacy workflows and decision-making processes. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative data entry logs, basic prompt tweaks, or simple helpdesk ticketing queues, you will operate an active high-concurrency model training, multi-step agentic orchestration, and cloud-native database tuning laboratory. Partnering directly next to distributed Data Scientists, Product Managers, Platform Engineers, and pharmacy domain experts, you will establish rigorous model evaluation patterns while securing data under strict regulatory compliance boundaries. This position requires an engineering authority with 5+ years of software design history who manages cloud-native structures fluidly natively using AI Engineer, Python, and Backend primitives, commands complete operational intimacy with large language models (LLMs), and mentors junior engineers on modern artificial intelligence best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Core Platform Modernization Governance: Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions to modernize legacy pharmacy management applications, prioritizing performance, reliability, and security metrics natively utilizing AI Engineer best practices.
- Agentic Workflow Instrumentation: Leverage Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and autonomous agentic frameworks to automate clinical decision-making paths and eliminate manual operational toil.
- Distributed Pipeline Architecture Tuning: Lead the technical configuration of distributed cloud data streams, directing model selection, vector embedding parameters, and schema integration models natively deploying Python.
- Cloud-Native Ecosystem Control: Configure and monitor microservices networks within multi-tenant infrastructures, maintaining system health and optimizing resource utilization across cloud configurations (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Security and Compliance Triage: Architect and protect sensitive algorithmic data logs, implementing rigid data boundaries and validation checks matching secure healthcare privacy metrics natively leveraging Backend setups.
- Cross-Functional Strategy Alignment: Collaborate close-knit beside product teams and healthcare domain authorities, translating complex system modernization requirements into actionable technical engineering roadmaps.
- Technical Standards Standardization: Formulate development baselines, automated regression checks, and rigorous quality assurance guidelines to maintain premium code craftsmanship across the core AI team.
- Engineering Talent Mentorship: Conduct comprehensive peer code reviews, share modern software development guidelines, and actively mentor junior engineering team members to level up collective capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Possess a formal Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a matching quantitative or technical discipline (or verified equivalent practical history).
- A minimum of 5+ years of proven, successful professional technology experience operating as a Software Engineer, Machine Learning Developer, Cloud Infrastructure Architect, or closely matching tech-driven backend design capacity.
- Expert Cloud and Language Command: At least 5+ years of practical engineering history leveraging major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) alongside production-grade proficiency writing structured code natively in Python, Golang, JavaScript, or Java.
- Meticulous hands-on track record (3+ years) designing and deploying production-grade Generative AI solutions, LLM pipelines, or multi-step agentic workflows into user-facing commercial product environments.
- Grounded functional comprehension of distributed cloud-native applications, relational query monitoring, and continuous deployment practices.
- Outstanding written and verbal presentation communication strengths in English, with an established background explaining abstract backend or machine learning limitations cleanly to non-technical business leads.
- Location Context: Position operates under 100% remote parameters open exclusively to qualified full-stack AI and machine learning engineering authorities residing permanently within the United States.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior platform or operations background managing technical data pipelines explicitly inside the pharmacy tech, clinical informatics, healthcare software operations, or regulated life-sciences sectors.
- Direct operational familiarity manipulating model monitoring layers, cluster scaling software, or low-latency caching architectures.
- An adaptable, high-agency persona characterized by deep intellectual curiosity, a pro-athlete mindset toward consistency, and a passion for thinking critically to solve unexpected infrastructure challenges.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier United States Applied AI Engineering Remuneration Matrix: A highly competitive annual base salary scale calibrated precisely to your individual systems pedigree and agentic deployment velocity, supplemented by comprehensive benefits configurations and premium milestone rewards.
- 100% remote workspace infrastructure freedom anywhere across the United States, freeing your calendar from rigid office commute blockages.
- Macro Scale Technology Influence: Elite professional landmarks built by single-handedly blueprinting the generative networks, automated workflows, and cloud-native AI pipelines driving the future of pharmacy technology modernization.
- Comprehensive health and wellness preservation choices, including Equal Employment Opportunity protections and accommodations for qualified individuals.
- Access to an outstanding, low-bureaucracy engineering culture that provides top-tier technical equipment setups, investments in continuous learning, and a supportive team environment designed to let you maintain a healthy work-life balance while breaking technical barriers.
