AI Security Governance Strategy Consultant

As an AI Security Governance Strategy Consultant, you will work with business leaders, security teams, and AI stakeholders to bridge the gap between technology and business, helping clients operationalize AI security governance programs that are understandable, scalable, and effective.

You'll work closely with our AI Security Governance Architect, translating technical security concepts into business-focused guidance, executive communications, governance processes, and actionable decision frameworks that drive real adoption across organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the definition and execution of AI Security Governance strategies, helping organizations align security objectives, business priorities, risk appetite, and AI adoption initiatives.
• Translate AI security requirements into practical governance processes, covering the full AI lifecycle from use case intake and risk assessment to deployment, monitoring, change management, and retirement.
• Develop executive-level presentations and strategic communications, transforming complex AI security concepts into clear, business-friendly narratives that support decision-making.
• Act as the bridge between security and business stakeholders, translating security risks, control requirements, technical recommendations, and governance expectations into actionable plans and responsibilities.
• Coordinate AI Security Governance programs, managing workplans, milestones, dependencies, risks, stakeholder alignment, steering committees, and delivery activities.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions, helping organizations define ownership models, escalation paths, governance processes, and implementation priorities.
• Drive governance adoption and organizational enablement, creating guidance, training materials, communication plans, and frameworks that help teams apply AI security requirements in their daily work.
• Monitor program performance and continuous improvement, providing meaningful reporting, insights, recommendations, and governance metrics to leadership teams.

Requirements

• Experience in Cybersecurity Consulting, Security Governance, Security Strategy, Technology Risk, GRC, or Security Transformation programs.
• Strong technical background in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, with previous experience in security, architecture, engineering, or technical consulting roles.
• Working knowledge of AI Security, Generative AI, LLMs, and AI Agents, including risks such as prompt injection, sensitive data exposure, excessive permissions, unsafe tool execution, and third-party dependencies.
• Experience defining or implementing governance frameworks, operating models, decision forums, ownership structures, reporting mechanisms, and security oversight processes.
• Strong understanding of Application Security, Cloud Security, Identity & Access Management, Data Protection, Secure Development, and Security Monitoring.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex security topics into concise recommendations and high-quality stakeholder presentations.
• Experience managing projects, workstreams, stakeholder engagement, risks, dependencies, and executive governance forums.
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align business leaders, security teams, architects, and technical specialists around common objectives.
• Excellent analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, writing skills, and ability to independently drive initiatives forward.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams across security, architecture, engineering, risk, and business functions.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
