Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, senior-level AI Systems Architect / Automation Engineer to serve as the ultimate technical authority on all internal AI, LLM engineering, and workflow automation topics. In this highly autonomous role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for the architectural integrity of our mission-critical operational systems. Moving far beyond basic pipeline triggers, you will design complex decision engines, manage large-scale data warehouses, build internal low-code tools, and implement compliance-ready audit trail infrastructures. This position requires a seasoned systems thinker who can confidently balance deterministic code with machine learning models under production load.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Systems Architecture: Formulate and document highly principled, scalable backend system architectures that seamlessly balance deterministic logic steps with machine learning models and LLMs.
• Workflow Orchestration & Integration: Build and scale automated execution streams, connecting disparate SaaS applications (such as Asana, Zoho, Slack, and Google Workspace) via Make.com, n8n, and Zapier.
• Intelligent Decision Engines: Code and enforce highly explainable, traceable allocation and matching systems, integrating reliable human-in-the-loop escalation paths for edge exceptions.
• Operational Data Platform Ownership: Manage custom database schemas, transformation layers, and streaming ingest pipelines running natively inside Google BigQuery data warehouses.
• Internal Tooling & CRM Engineering: Build, customize, and extend administrative dashboards, CRM layers, and tracking software using a mixture of low-code frameworks and custom script interfaces.
• AI/LLM Production Deployment: Ship scalable, production-grade LLM properties, implementing rigid evaluation harnesses to continuously optimize query costs and system latencies.
• Audit, Governance & Security: Enforce role-based access tokens, build comprehensive event logs, map automated security approvals, and lead incident response diagnostics for database outages.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified professional history running Software Engineering, Systems Architecture, or Automation engineering tracks.
• Minimum of 2+ years of explicit, hands-on production history building, fine-tuning, and evaluating LLM-backed digital applications.
• Advanced programmatic scripting fluency in Python and/or TypeScript / Node.js environments (proficiency in both is highly preferred).
• Advanced structural SQL engineering mechanics, with the capacity to optimize massive relational database queries and maximize compute efficiencies.
• Hands-on operational understanding of REST APIs, webhook arrays, message queues, failure retries, and data warehousing patterns.
• Language Proficiency: Exceptional verbal and written English business communication skills matching the CEFR C1 baseline or above.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first full-time operational framework restricted exclusively to qualified automation engineers permanently based inside the Philippines.
• Shift Requirements: Absolute personal flexibility to align daily production hours with the **US Operational Night Shift** schedule.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Practical technical exposure building agentic AI patterns, multi-agent chains, or custom prompt routing skills.
• Familiarity tracking modeling dependency trees using dbt (data build tool) or working inside event-sourced data environments.
• Familiarity setting up automated configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) paradigms.
