ABAP Developer (SAP DataSphere / BDC)

About the Role: Globaldev is looking for an experienced ABAP Developer to support SAP-related activities within a Data & Analytics (D&A) project. This role focuses on enabling data extraction, modeling from SAP systems, supporting analytical use cases, and contributing to the development of custom CDS-based data solutions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain custom ABAP solutions supporting SAP DataSphere and BDC-related data initiatives.
• Design and implement custom CDS views on SAP HANA for data extraction and reporting purposes.
• Support data extraction processes from SAP systems into analytical platforms (e.g., Azure, BW/4HANA, SAP DataSphere).
• Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution of technical issues in SAP data flows.
• Implement performance tuning, bug fixes, and provide technical documentation for SAP-based data models and integrations.

What You Bring

• Hands-on ABAP development experience in SAP environments.
• Strong experience in developing custom CDS views on SAP HANA.
• Good understanding of SAP DataSphere, BDC, and SAP data architecture.
• Experience supporting data extraction into platforms such as Azure and SAP BW/4HANA.
• Ability to translate business/data requirements into technical SAP solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
