Cool Earth

Cool Earth (operating at coolearth.org) is a nonprofit conservation platform engineered for large-scale rainforest protection. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Penryn, Cornwall, Cool Earth disrupts traditional environmental funding by channeling resources directly to Indigenous communities—rather than relying on bureaucratic NGOs—to preserve critical rainforests. Under the hood, the organization operates through grant funding, partnering with local Indigenous groups to implement sustainable land stewardship and climate mitigation strategies. This allows global donors to directly support tangible conservation outcomes, from reforestation to biodiversity preservation, while empowering Indigenous leadership. Backed by grassroots donations and corporate partnerships (including SDG-aligned investments), Cool Earth’s model bridges the gap between climate action and community empowerment.
