Alma

Alma is a membership-based network for mental health care providers. Traditionally, independent therapists struggle to accept insurance because the paperwork is a nightmare and insurance companies pay very slowly. As a result, many therapists only accept cash, which is too expensive for most patients. Alma solves this by acting as the 'middleman.' Therapists join Alma, and Alma handles all the credentialing, billing, and negotiations with major insurance companies (like Aetna, Cigna, Optum). This allows therapists to accept insurance easily, and helps patients find affordable, in-network care.
