Job Description

Team Updraft, the company behind some of the world's most popular WordPress plugins (used by 5 million+ websites), is looking for a Product Innovator to join the WP-Optimize team. This is an "Entrepreneurial" role where you will run the product like a business within the wider company, guiding the future direction of this all-in-one speed optimization solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders and team members.
  • Customer Discovery: Conduct telephone/video-call interviews with customers, lapsed customers, and competitors to understand market problems.
  • Feature Ideation: Ideate on how to solve user problems and work with UI/UX designers to create prototypes.
  • Development Leadership: Lead a team of world-class developers to turn your ideas into reality and manage the roadmap.
  • Launch Strategy: Coordinate product launch activities, including marketing strategies and sales training.

Requirements

  • WordPress Expertise: Experience in WordPress is a MUST. You need deep knowledge of the ecosystem.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Creative flair to think laterally about products; you must be self-motivated and able to lead under pressure.
  • Communication: Proven ability to communicate well in both written and spoken English.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to translate complex data and user feedback into actionable insights.
  • Experience: Ample experience in related roles (Product Management, Plugin Development, etc.).
