WPForms: Development Manager

WPForms is seeking a highly motivated Development Manager to join their team in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States. This is a hybrid role, requiring approximately 40-50% hands-on technical work and 50-60% leadership and management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a "player-coach" who is comfortable writing production code, architecting solutions, and leading a team of talented developers. Responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and developing a team of developers through hands-on collaboration, facilitating technical discussions, removing blockers, and driving hiring decisions. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining development processes, collaborating with Product, QA, and Design teams, and taking full ownership of team deliverables and deadlines. On the technical side, you will write production-quality code for critical features, architect technical solutions, evaluate and implement AI tools for enhanced productivity, perform code reviews, and optimize performance and scalability for millions of WordPress users. Requirements include embodying extreme ownership and high agency, being an excellent communicator fluent in English, taking pride in both individual contributions and team success, and mentoring through pair programming and code reviews. The role demands the ability to give and receive critical feedback constructively and a passion for building both great products and great teams.
