Job Description

About the Role: Our client is seeking a WordPress Developer to design, build, and maintain websites using WordPress. This role requires expertise in theme customization, plugin development, performance optimization, and site security to ensure websites are visually engaging, responsive, and optimized for speed and SEO.

What You'll Do

  • Build and customize WordPress sites using themes, page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery), or custom coding.
  • Install, configure, and customize plugins, or build/extend them using PHP.
  • Convert Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect, responsive WordPress pages.
  • Optimize site speed (caching, lazy loading, CDN integration) and improve Core Web Vitals for SEO.
  • Apply regular updates, harden security (Wordfence, Sucuri), and manage backups.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience building and maintaining WordPress sites.
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with WordPress page builders and experience managing hosting platforms (cPanel, WP Engine, SiteGround).
  • Bonus: WooCommerce customization, plugin development, and familiarity with Git for version control.
