About the job
We are actively recruiting for this role to fill an existing vacancy. This position is needed to join Twilio’s Web Experience team as a UX Designer specialized in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) component creation, design, and usability. You’ll design composable, reusable component patterns and author-friendly experiences that let UI, marketing, and content teams build pages quickly and accurately. You’ll define interaction design and detailed specs, optimize AEM authoring and governance, and create experiment-ready variants for A/B and multivariate testing, without implementing experiments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the UX POC with stakeholders, gather requirements, and communicate complex design clearly and persuasively to these stakeholders, while leading production projects to completion
- Design and document AEM components end-to-end: Define use cases, content models, composability rules, and constraints; Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed interaction specs (states, errors, keyboard/focus, responsiveness); Specify authoring dialogs, fields, validations, defaults, and inline guidance to improve authoring ease
- Produce complete specification packages: Annotated designs, redlines, acceptance criteria; Accessibility requirements and performance considerations
- Design for composability and scalability: Establish component variants, configurations, and policies to reduce bespoke builds; Ensure compatibility with templates, fragments, and localization workflows
- Optimize the AEM authoring experience: Conduct author usability checks; iterate on dialogs and help content; Assist with the creation of authoring guides, playbooks, and component documentation
- Design A/B and multivariate test variants; Review experiment results with analysts and iterate to improve conversion for our CRO initiative
- Work with Web Engineering to translate specs into AEM Core Component extensions; partner with Brand/UI and Content to ensure fidelity and scalability
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
