Job Description

About the Role: Scan.com is the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. We are looking for a VP, Payer Strategy & Contracting to be the founding payer hire for our US business. Reporting to the CEO, you will own each deal end-to-end, converting an active pipeline of health plan, TPA, and cost-containment conversations into signed contracts while building a scalable sales function beneath you.

What You'll Do

  • Convert the active pipeline of health plan, TPA, and cost-containment conversations to signed contracts.
  • Open new payer conversations, building further opportunities through outbound efforts and your own network.
  • Build bespoke analysis for live deals, including claims data review, site-of-care savings models, and unit economics.
  • Own deal execution end-to-end, including term sheet drafting, rate architecture, legal coordination, and contracting.
  • Build the reusable payer contracting playbook and manage ongoing relationships with contracted payers.

What You Bring

  • Direct operating experience inside a US health plan, payer, TPA, or network services organisation.
  • Deep fluency with payer economics, fee-for-service, bundled structures, and SLA design.
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills with a track record of closing complex healthcare contracts.
  • Highly accomplished in the use of modern AI tools to accelerate analysis, drafting, and operational throughput.
  • A closer's temperament with strong commercial instinct, ready to drive deals to signature and hold the room.
