Job Description
Role Summary
Vacation® is looking for a Senior Media Buyer (maternity leave coverage) for our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a data-driven paid media strategy to scale our brand and optimize performance across all channels, including paid social, search, retail, and upper-funnel media. You will play a key role in managing budgets, analyzing campaign performance, briefing creative content, and driving revenue growth while ensuring brand alignment.
This is a temporary role providing maternity leave coverage with approximately two weeks of onboarding with the current role holder, followed by an additional four-month coverage period.
Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Strategy (in partnership with the VP of Growth Marketing): Own the end-to-end paid media strategy to support the broader marketing objectives and retail expansion goals.
- Media Planning & Buying: Manage and optimize media spend across brand awareness, paid media, paid social performance media (e.g. Meta, TikTok), SEM (Google), retail media networks (Target, Ulta, Nordstrom, etc.) ensuring media efficiency and impact.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously track and analyze KPIs (ROAS, CAC, LTV, conversion rates, etc.) to refine campaigns and improve efficiency.
- Budget Management: Oversee allocation and performance of a multi-million dollar budget to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Retail & Omnichannel Strategy: Leverage first-party and third-party data to drive seamless customer journeys across DTC, retail, and marketplace channels.
- Creative & Messaging Optimization: Responsible for writing all paid media content briefs, then collaborating with creative and brand teams to develop compelling, high-performing ad content that resonates with our audience.
- Testing & Innovation: Lead A/B testing initiatives and explore emerging media opportunities to stay ahead of trends in beauty and digital marketing.
- Agency & Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with agencies, platforms, consultants and tech partners, ensuring accountability and performance on paid media initiatives.
- Reporting & Insights: Provide regular reports with actionable insights to leadership, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
- UGC Creative Sourcing: Partner with Influencer Strategist Lead to implement high performing UGC content
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Meta and Google media buying roles
- 2-3+ years experience being ‘hands on keyboard’ - actively buying media and continuously optimizing
- Comfort with working as a part of a fully remote team
- Process-oriented, with a passion for media strategy and implementation
- Experience working within the Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads account
- Extremely organized and detail oriented in your work
- Assertive in your communication style
- Excited to grow Vacation® into a household name and have fun in the process
