Technical Writer (Immigration / Legal)

Pacston is an agency that handles complex documentation for US immigration cases (likely EB-1, EB-2 NIW, or O-1 visas). They are looking for writers who can take complex scientific research or technical achievements and translate them into clear, persuasive prose for US immigration officers. You do not need a law degree; you need strong Academic or Technical Writing skills. You are essentially arguing why a client's work is vital to the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting Petitions: Draft and edit technical/legal documents and recommendation letters based on internal materials.
• Scientific Summary: Read and summarize complex scientific research papers to prove a client's expertise.
• Revision: Revise documents based on client feedback and strict internal specifications.
• Policy Compliance: Stay updated on changing US immigration policies.

Requirements

• Writing Skills: Exceptional Academic or Technical writing skills. You must be able to write "clear, concise prose accessible to a wide audience" (i.e., making rocket science understandable to a layperson).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Time Management: Ability to work independently under tight deadlines (Immigration deadlines are non-negotiable).
• Availability: Must be able to commit to 40 hours per week.
