Technical Writer
Job Description
At JetBrains, we build products that empower developers. With the advent of LLMs, we are aiming to cover agentic development workflows with a platform that governs AI usage across teams, products, and environments.
We are seeking a Technical Writer to join the JetBrains Cloud Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting the platform's subsystems for user and license management, AI-specific governance, and analytics, as well as the underlying APIs and our own agentic framework. This includes both end-user documentation and internal documentation for our development teams.
You will coordinate with team members, including product and project managers, designers, QA engineers, and developers, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of the user's needs, expectations, and challenges. Additionally, you will plan and prepare documentation for upcoming features in time for releases.
Current Published Documentation:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience documenting new and quickly evolving products, technologies, and frameworks.
- A sincere interest in modern AI (LLMs, agents).
- Familiarity with the docs-as-code approach, where documentation is tightly integrated with other product development processes.
- Strong English language skills, with the ability to write clearly and empathize with your readers.
- A preference for working independently, taking initiative and responsibility as an expert when it comes to content authoring, time management, and task prioritization.
Additional bonus skills:
- Experience with any programming language, preferably Kotlin or Java.
- An understanding of some basic software development concepts and tools, such as APIs, REST, frameworks, Git, and CI/CD.
If hired, you'll have the chance to do much more than just write content. We offer plenty of opportunities to step outside your comfort zone, tackle new challenges, and dig into the technical side of things.
