Technical Writer

Earth Forward Group (EFG) is a woman-owned small business that provides workforce development, sustainability consulting, and program management related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. They are looking for a Technical Writer to help drive their next phase of growth. You will be writing programmatic proposals, reports, and developing curriculum for workforce weatherization programs designed to train the next generation of construction workers in sustainable building standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Proposal & Report Writing: Write key client proposals, program expansion plans, design frameworks, and programmatic reports.
• Curriculum Development: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical writer for climate resilience programming, specifically curriculum for workforce weatherization programs.
• Research: Conduct research on market trends, client feedback, and subject matter to inform program design decisions.
• Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Clean, analyze, and report on data findings to fulfill client reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Writing & Analysis: Excellent writing skills for technical/M&E reports and proposals, paired with strong data analysis skills.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of US climate resilience efforts and weatherization industry standards.
• Certifications (Bonus): OSHA and BPI (Building Performance Institute) certifications are highly ideal.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required (ideally in environmental science); Master's degree preferred.
• Tech Stack: Fluency in MS Office software.
