Summer Intern - Software Engineer / Data Science

Xenith Solutions, a rapidly growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, is looking for a driven Summer Intern to support Federal, Civilian, and Defense customers. This is a hands-on role where you will apply data-driven techniques to real-world problems, working alongside experienced engineers to develop machine learning models, data pipelines, and software applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Hybrid Development: Support software development and prototyping efforts using Java and/or Python.
• Web Apps: Contribute to web-based applications using React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Data Science: Assist with data processing, analytics, visualization, and the development of machine learning models.
• Cloud Operations: Help configure and deploy applications in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving sessions.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Coding Skills: Hands-on experience (academic or personal) with Java and/or Python.
• Frontend: Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React.
• Cloud Awareness: Basic understanding of cloud concepts or environments.
• Curiosity: Eager to learn, ask questions, and take initiative in a mission-focused environment.
