Job Description

All positions are open to remote work unless otherwise specified in the requirements below.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Staff Writer to join our team and create high-quality, engaging news and feature content for tech professionals and consumers. This role is ideal for a writer who has worked in technology or in related fields, worked with technology in an enterprise environment, or who has written extensively about enterprise technology or general business—especially for a newsletter. The ideal candidate must also have experience writing for a C-suite audience and be comfortable interviewing high-profile C-suite execs.

You’ll help us launch a newsletter aimed at the UK and EMEA markets by writing engaging content with a strong voice and a creative approach to covering the technology readers care about. Successful candidates will have the research, SEO, and writing skills to take content from idea to final draft with minimal oversight and will be comfortable interviewing subject matter experts, industry insiders, and C-Suite roles to add voices to articles.

You’ll help us expand our coverage of how technology fits into the enterprise, how it’s disrupting it, and what readers need to know. You’ll also play a key role in growing our professional audience and supporting monetization strategies through trusted, audience-aligned content.

You’ll need at least a general knowledge of data, AI, BI, information technology, and general business processes and tools, as well as an understanding of the UK and EMEA markets.

Location: United Kingdom

What you'll do

  • Research, draft, and deliver well-structured news articles, newsletters, guides, reviews, and market analyses tailored to enterprise tech in the UK market.
  • Work closely with editors and other teams to ensure content is right for our audience and to ensure deadlines and production targets are consistently met.
  • Pitch new ideas and content updates aligned with tech trends, AI innovations, and audience needs.
  • Apply SEO best practices directly to your drafts, including keyword optimization, internal linking, and metadata.
  • Conduct interviews with experts, analyze research, and incorporate credible data sources into content.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise (SME) on content, ensuring accuracy and authority.
  • Use AI-powered tools to support research, drafting, and content optimization while applying editorial judgment and fact-checking to maintain quality.
  • Incorporate coverage of AI-driven tools and emerging technologies, bridging technical innovation with practical application.
  • Ensure content aligns with the overall strategy of growing our audience, deepening engagement, and driving monetization opportunities (ads, sponsorships, partnerships).

Who you are

  • Two-to-three years of industry experience or five years of experience writing about technology in the enterprise.
  • Portfolio of published articles or guides on relevant topics, written for a business/professional audience.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, engaging language.
  • Proven ability to research, cite credible sources, and independently optimize content for SEO.
  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end content creation—from idea to final draft—with minimal oversight.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance content workflows (e.g., research support, content outlines, SEO optimization), while ensuring accuracy and originality.
  • Ability to balance editorial quality with business strategy, producing content that both serves the audience and supports monetization goals.
  • Comfort working in collaborative tools (Google Docs, CMS) while being able to self-direct when needed.
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on pivoting strategies to meet evolving audience and business needs.
