Merge is seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our Foundations Engineering team. The right person will be excited to join a team of expert DevOps engineers, lead critical infrastructure architectural decisions, and empower developers to deploy and scale their services safely and consistently.
Responsibilities
- Partner with other engineering teams to produce highly performant architectures that extend to our largest customers.
- Participate in roadmapping, and influence platform decisions.
- Produce high-quality, production-ready, maintainable infrastructure as code.
- Lead large projects from initial inception to launch, and mentor other engineers.
- Run production systems at scale.
- Participate in on-call rotation and infrastructure maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time DevOps experience.
- Deep experience with AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to own the design and deployment of highly scalable systems.
- Familiarity with several of the following technologies: Python, Elasticsearch, Redis, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, Kinesis, EC2/GCE, EKS/GKE.
