Position Overview

We are seeking a high-agency Sr PHP Developer specializing in SugarCRM architectures to drive the optimization, migration, and long-term evolution of our corporate CRM application. In this high-ownership development track, you will lead the implementation of custom modules, core integrations, and high-stakes database optimizations within a structured Mexican financial services framework. This role requires an engineer who combines production-grade PHP code governance with frontend proficiency and advanced version-control best practices to scale critical sales management workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• SugarCRM Environment Customization: Build, maintain, and optimize secure, custom modules inside the multi-tenant SugarCRM runtime utilizing Module Builder and Module Loader utilities.
• Enterprise System Integration: Implement clean backend integrations, coordinate system upgrades, and manage platform version transitions with absolute data integrity.
• Database Performance Optimization: Oversee and tune the MySQL database instance, designing optimized indexing strategies, complex query schema structures, and basic engine administration parameters.
• Collaborative Code Governance: Manage codebase deployment pipelines using GitHub, enforcing strict branching strategies, peer reviews, and collaborative development protocols.
• Technical Architecture Mapping: Collaborate cross-functionally alongside business analysts and IT infrastructure leads to translate abstract requirements into high-fidelity CRM software features.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified professional software engineering history executing inside scalable backend environments using PHP and object-oriented programming patterns.
• Proven tracking record deploying, maintaining, or upgrading live enterprise instances of the SugarCRM platform ecosystem.
• Hands-on technical mastery utilizing Sugar Module Builder, Module Loader, and native configuration hooks.
• Strong full-stack capabilities, with operational fluency utilizing JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for responsive interface extensions.
• Demonstrated database administration skills handling MySQL schema design, query optimization profiles, and data integrity gates.
• Advanced Git proficiency executing collective engineering workflows inside GitHub.
• Location & Shift Context: 100% remote-first operational infrastructure open exclusively to qualified software engineers residing within Hispanic Latin America (LATAM).
• Timezone Mandate: Absolute flexibility to support a rigid 8-hour routine from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM in the GMT-6 (Mexico) timezone.
