Sr. Engineering Manager (India Engineering Leader)

About the Role: Zapier is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Enterprise Integrations organization in India and serve as our India Eng Leader. You will manage two engineering teams that build and maintain the most critical integrations in the Zapier product, while shaping technical strategy and setting the bar for AI-native engineering.

What You'll Do

• Manage two teams (roughly 8–10 engineers combined, including senior and staff-level ICs).
• Act as the Engineering Lead for India, representing Zapier's engineering org locally and partnering on hiring strategy.
• Own team performance end-to-end, tracking delivery predictability, quality, incident load, and customer impact.
• Champion AI-assisted development across your teams (coding assistants, agentic workflows, LLM-powered internal tools).
• Shape architectural decisions, participate in design reviews, and ensure continued customer satisfaction.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 4+ years managing engineers.
• Meaningful experience as a manager-of-managers or leading multiple teams simultaneously.
• Hands-on technical leadership with comfort in developer experience design, distributed systems, and AI/ML systems in production.
• AI-native mindset with concrete examples of using AI to reduce cycle time or automate toil.
• Excellent communication skills to balance engineering, product, and business concerns.
