Job Description
Lower Street is a podcasting company that produces high-end shows for agencies, consultants, and enterprise companies. They focus on quality over quantity. They are looking for a Sound Designer to join their production team. Your job is not just removing "ums" and "ahs"βit is to take rough cuts and elevate them into highly polished, narrative-driven audio experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Production: Take rough cuts (often from Descript) and turn them into polished episodes in Pro Tools.
- Audio Finessing: Clean up dialogue, fix pacing, and ensure technical perfection using tools like iZotope RX.
- Creative Sound Design: Source and integrate music, create soundscapes, and mix/master the finished product to bring the content to life.
- Workflow Management: Coordinate audio files and sessions to ensure episodes are delivered on deadline.
Requirements
- Experience: Extensive experience editing podcasts (Narrative, Interview, Solo formats).
- Technical Stack: Expert proficiency in Pro Tools is a must. Familiarity with iZotope RX, Ableton, and Descript is highly valued.
- The "Ear": A great ear with the ability to mix and master your own work without supervision.
- Environment: You must have a good listening environment and strong Wifi.
