Job Description
Nekki, the game development studio behind massive hits like Shadow Fight and Vector (1.5 billion+ registered users), is looking for a Sound Designer. You will join the team working on SPINE, an upcoming single-player third-person action game centered around cinematic "Gun-Fu" shootouts. This is a beat 'em up with a deep storyline made in Unreal Engine 5.
Key Responsibilities
- Sound Design: Record, edit, and design high-quality sound effects including weapons, impacts, ambience, UI elements, and cutscenes.
- Implementation: Implement sound effects directly into the game using Unreal Engine 5 and Wwise.
- Optimization: Test and optimize audio systems to ensure all sound elements work properly without performance hits.
- Collaboration: Interact with programmers to develop audio systems and collaborate with animators/VFX artists to achieve the highest quality audio.
- Documentation: Keep audio documentation up to date.
Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of commercial experience in video game audio development.
- Portfolio: A reel/portfolio demonstrating your skills and experience is required.
- Middleware: Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 (Blueprints) and Wwise is non-negotiable.
- Tools: Proficient use of any DAW and hands-on experience with recording equipment (microphones, stands).
- Passion: A strong passion for video games and audio.
Nice to Have
- Experience in AAA projects.
- C++ knowledge for advanced integration.
