Software Verification & Validation Engineer

About the Role: Quest Defense Systems and Solutions is seeking highly skilled Software Verification & Validation Engineers to perform requirements-based unit tests for embedded software on a nuclear power plant control system. You will work within safety-critical quality assurance frameworks like NQA-1 and DO-178, demanding a safety and completeness mindset.

What You'll Do

• Develop controls/monitoring software and low-level requirements-based tests to generate full-coverage LDRA verification procedures.
• Execute tests in the LDRA test setup on both simulated and on-target environments.
• Review test results, debug software issues, and analyze structural coverage holes.
• Identify findings and author formal reviews of test cases, procedures, and results.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace, electrical, or software engineering.
• 5 years of experience performing low-level software requirements-based testing.
• 2 years of testing experience with LDRA or similar tools (e.g., VectorCAST).
• Proficiency in C programming and Python development (especially UI building).
• Requirement: Due to the nature of the project, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens or US lawful permanent residents.
