Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical Software Engineer in Test to take absolute ownership of automation architectures and quality verification efforts across our enterprise platform. Joining a dynamic cross-functional squad of Product Managers, UI Designers, and Core Engineers, you will lead the test planning, execution, and automation strategy for high-impact feature blocks. Moving beyond surface checks, you will develop robust automated UI test suites, establish rigorous API integration data validation pipelines, and uncover testability gaps early inside requirement reviews. This role demands a self-directed quality engineer committed to clean code and continuous integration pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• UI Automation Suite Ownership: Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable automated frontend test infrastructure utilizing Playwright.
• API Integration Testing: Build, execute, and scale programmatic test harnesses to thoroughly validate backend REST or GraphQL microservices, third-party integrations, and core data flows.
• Testability Deficit Analysis: Actively participate in product design discussions and agile requirement reviews to identify hidden system bottlenecks and testability gaps before development begins.
• Framework Utility Contribution: Refactor automated workflows and contribute high-quality helper methods, plugins, and custom logic to the team’s shared library repositories.
• CI/CD Build Pipeline Controls: Integrate automated test scripts into cloud continuous delivery networks, validating software health across active deployment and regression branches.
• Agile Quality Governance: Refine team-wide QA standards, run risk-based regression scoping exercises, and collaborate with developers to squash production bugs quickly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of verified professional history running software quality engineering, automated test design, or systems verification workflows.
• Minimum of 1.5 years of deep, hands-on production experience writing automated UI testing architectures explicitly using **Playwright**.
• Proven track record managing automated API testing layers (utilizing Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API hooks, or equivalent frameworks).
• Solid structural command over functional, integration, regression, and risk-based testing principles inside complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity tracking code branches via Git and running test execution tasks inside modern CI/CD build environments.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first operational infrastructure flexibility restricted to qualified engineering candidates permanently residing inside our India hub networks: Gujarat, Maharashtra, or Bengaluru.
• Shift Mandate: Absolute capability to work a shifted schedule from 12:00 Noon to 9:00 PM IST to secure essential collaborative hours with cross-border product units in Canada and the UK.

• Strong programmatic scripting literacy using TypeScript or JavaScript languages.
