Software Engineer, Elixir

About the Role: Telnyx is an industry leader building a private, global, multi-cloud IP network. We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer (Elixir) to join our engineering team. You will be making significant architectural decisions, building delightful features, and solving complex real-world problems in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs, services, and systems across Telnyx’s engineering teams.
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new features at large scale.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and development processes.
• Contribute to the foundation of borderless connectivity through innovative connectivity solutions.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with an object-oriented or functional programming language.
• Strong appreciation for functional programming and a desire to become an expert Elixir programmer.
• Deep knowledge of microservice architecture patterns and experience with relational databases at scale.
• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and concurrent/distributed programming challenges.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Consul, Jenkins, Prometheus).
• Bonus: Experience with key-value stores like ETS, Mnesia, and Redis.
