Software Developer - WordPress

WisdmLabs is one of the top WordPress product and service companies in India. They don't just build websites; they build solutions and products (Plugins/Extensions). They are looking for a Software Engineer responsible for both back-end and front-end development. You won't just be using Elementor here; you will be writing custom PHP code to create plugins and themes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Development: Design and implement new features using PHP and MySQL. You will be building plugins and themes from scratch.
• Quality Assurance: Create test cases for all work developed and maintain strict documentation.
• Scalability: Deliver scalable solutions using engineering best practices and WordPress coding standards.
• Support: Provide technical help in resolving support requests and debugging issues.

Requirements

• Experience: 1-3 years of proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
• Core Stack: Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (jQuery), HTML5, and CSS3.
• WP Internals: Experience creating plugins and themes from scratch (Understanding the Template Hierarchy and Plugin API is a must).
• APIs: Knowledge of interacting with RESTful APIs (JSON/XML).
• Tools: Proficiency with Git for version control.

Nice to Have

• Gutenberg: Experience working on Gutenberg blocks (This is a major plus as the industry moves to Block Themes).
• Client Facing: Experience communicating directly with clients.
