Job Description
About the Role: Carry1st helps game studios unlock growth across Africa and the Middle East. As a Social Media Manager, you will own and grow the Call of Duty Mobile Africa social media presence in partnership with Activision. You will manage a cross-country team of video editors and graphic designers to build one of the most exciting gaming communities on the continent.
What You'll Do
- Identify viral trends across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and X/Twitter to localize them for the African gaming community.
- Manage and grow the CODM Africa community by engaging with followers and fostering an active, loyal fanbase.
- Liaise with Activision stakeholders and track channel analytics to refine the content strategy.
- Manage the content production budget, tracking spend across creators, editors, and tools.
- Coordinate content workflows across the team using social media and task management tools.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of social media management experience, ideally within gaming or entertainment.
- A passion for first-person shooters or CODM, with a deep understanding of gaming culture.
- Strong organizational skills, comfortable managing stakeholders and creatives under tight deadlines.
- Analytically minded with a basic understanding of how paid media amplifies organic social content.
- Bonus: Experience editing short-form video (After Effects, Premiere Pro) or creating assets (Canva, Photoshop).
