SEO Team Lead

The SEO Team Lead (AI and Automation) is a forward-thinking leader responsible for redefining our organic growth engine through cutting-edge technology. This role moves beyond traditional SEO management to focus 100% on innovation, revenue generation, and process automation.

You will lead a team of specialists to build "SEO as a product," leveraging AI to scale content, technical audits, and data analysis. Your goal is to maximize ROI by reducing manual operational load and capturing high-value traffic in the evolving landscape of Search Generative Experiences (SGE) and AI Overviews.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI-Driven Multi-Project Strategy
2. Strategic Oversight: Lead and synchronize SEO strategies across multiple business units or websites simultaneously, ensuring resource allocation matches revenue potential.
3. Revenue Innovation: Pivot the team from "traffic-first" to "revenue-first," leveraging AI to identify and capture high-conversion opportunities in SGE (Search Generative Experience).
4. Automation Roadmap: Co-design and execute a roadmap to automate 60% of recurring SEO tasks (reporting, auditing, content brief generation) across all assigned projects.
5. Audit existing SEO workflows to identify "bottleneck" manual tasks and replace them with automatic scripts, API integrations, or AI-driven solutions.
6. Manage the SEO team’s transition from manual executors to "AI Orchestrators," ensuring adoption of automation tools.
7. Leadership & People Development
8. Team Mentorship: Direct and motivate a team of SEO Specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning in AI, prompt engineering, and data science.
9. Performance Management: Set clear KPIs, conduct regular 1-on-1s, and ensure the team meets delivery deadlines with high-quality, automated outputs.
10. Resource Orchestration: Manage team bandwidth across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring no bottlenecks in execution.
11. Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Management
12. Create and present automated, data-rich reports for C-level stakeholders, translating technical SEO/AI wins into business impact and ROI.
13. Cross-Functional Advocacy: Build strong relationships with Product, Engineering, and Finance heads to secure buy-in for automation initiatives.
14. Predictive Insights: Use AI-driven forecasting to provide stakeholders with proactive "what-if" scenarios regarding market shifts and algorithm updates.

Requirements

1. Experience: 8+ years in SEO, with at least 2+ years in a formal leadership/managerial role overseeing a team of specialists.
2. Multi-Project Mastery: Proven experience managing complex SEO strategies for multiple websites or large-scale international domains simultaneously.
3. AI & Automation Expert: Deep hands-on experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude) and automation tools. Proficiency in Python or advanced API integrations is a significant plus.
4. Stakeholder Communication: Exceptional ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders, focusing on business growth and financial outcomes.
5. Project Management: Expert in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Asana, Monday.com) to coordinate team efforts across various workstreams.
6. Technical SEO Core: Expert knowledge of JS frameworks (Next.js, React), technical auditing, and programmatic SEO.
7. Analytical Rigor: Advanced skills in SQL, BigQuery, or Google Looker Studio to build automated, multi-project reporting dashboards.
8. Languages: Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and English (both speaking and writing).
