SEO Specialist
Job Description
OVERVIEW
Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role:
SEO Specialist
Compensation range:
$2,000 - $3,000 AUD/month
Engagement type:
Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule:
This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are:
At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is:
Our client is an Australian-owned, family-run business providing high-quality, durable infrastructure solutions built to withstand the country’s toughest conditions. Frustrated by long lead times and poor service in the industry, they developed a streamlined, customer-focused approach that delivers practical, reliable products quickly and affordably. Their solutions are versatile and tailored to industries such as mining, agriculture, and construction, designed for easy installation, long-term performance, and everyday reliability. Operating on a direct-to-customer model, they prioritise quality, competitive pricing, and no-nonsense service to ensure businesses get the solutions they need without the usual hassle.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the business and make SEO a core driver of success. You’ll have full ownership of strategy, the autonomy to execute properly, and the opportunity to make a measurable impact.
This role suits someone who thrives working independently. If you need constant direction, it won’t be the right fit. But if you’re self-driven and results-focused, you’ll do well here.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the full SEO strategy (technical, on-page, and off-page)
- Conduct in-depth keyword research with a strong focus on Australian search behaviour and local intent
- Craft and optimise ad copy and SEO content that resonates with Australian farmers, tradies, and business owners
- Perform technical audits including site structure, crawlability, indexing, page speed, and schema implementation
- Identify and execute high-quality link-building opportunities
- Create and optimise content that not only ranks — but converts
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and performance metrics with a sharp, data-driven approach
- Provide clear reporting and actionable insights to improve performance
- Stay ahead of algorithm updates and continuously refine strategy
Requirements
- Have a proven track record of delivering measurable SEO results (rankings, traffic, conversions — show us the data)
- Have a strong understanding of Australian markets, language, and search intent
- Know how to write or guide ad copy and content that connects with regional and rural audiences
- Live and breathe SEO — you’re constantly learning, testing, and refining
- Are highly skilled in technical SEO, not just content optimisation
- Are confident using tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4
- Can work autonomously and manage your own priorities effectively
- Communicate clearly and translate data into practical strategies
- Are motivated to build something meaningful — not just maintain existing work
Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
