SEO Specialist
Job Description
Role
We’re looking for an SEO Specialist who can own search end-to-end — from diagnosing issues quickly to executing consistently and driving compounding growth over time.
This is a hands-on role for someone who doesn’t just advise, but builds, tests, and ships. You’ll work closely with a small, scrappy team and collaborate with freelance content and engineering partners to improve site performance, grow organic traffic, and drive measurable revenue impact.
A key part of this role is staying ahead of how search is evolving — including AI-driven experiences — and turning those shifts into a competitive advantage. If you’re excited about where search is going — not just where it’s been — and want to build an SEO engine that adapts and wins as the landscape changes, read on for more details.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose current SEO performance quickly and define a clear roadmap
- Stay ahead of emerging search trends (AI/LLMs, changing SERPs, new content formats) and translate them into strategy
- Execute technical SEO improvements (crawlability, indexing, site health) with external dev team
- Own content strategy and execution (write and/or manage freelancers), including scalable and programmatic approaches
- Drive on-page optimization, internal linking, and continuous experimentation
- Track performance and report on traffic, rankings, and revenue impact
Requirements
- A strong SEO operator who can both strategy and execute
- Curious and proactive about where search is going (AI is a big part, but not the only part)
- An analytical thinker who connects SEO to revenue
- Experienced in building scalable SEO systems (content + technical)
- You thrive working closely within a small, tight-knit team
Benefits
- Contract role
- Salary range: $100-120,000 per year
