Senior Workday Platform Engineer

About the Role: Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) testing. We are seeking a hands-on Senior Workday Platform Engineer to serve as the primary technical owner of the Workday platform across HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, and Prism Analytics. This is a builder-first role where you will own the technical platform layer, integrations, security architecture, and release discipline.

What You'll Do

• Own technical execution across Workday HCM, Payroll, Recruiting, Prism Analytics, and Illuminate (AI/ML).
• Manage sandbox strategy, tenant lifecycle, and biannual release readiness.
• Build and maintain complex integrations (EIB, Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, RaaS) with internal and third-party systems.
• Configure HCM and Recruiting modules, build advanced reports, and leverage Workday Extend for custom applications.
• Own Workday security architecture, least-privilege access models, and ensure SOX, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance.

What You Bring

• 8+ years of hands-on Workday technical experience with active Workday Pro certifications (HCM, Integrations, Security, Prism).
• Deep expertise in security configuration, business process framework design, and advanced reporting.
• Solid understanding of integration frameworks (EIB, Studio, APIs) with a focus on reliability and monitoring.
• High documentation skills and operational rigor regarding ITGC controls and change management.
• Bonus: Exposure to Workday Illuminate/AI features and experience in biotech, healthcare, or large-scale medical practices.
