Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, data-focused Senior Test Engineer (data quality) to join our core Quality Assurance Office in a full-time remote capacity. In this technically demanding quality governance seat, you will embed directly within our finance and data engineering department, owning the comprehensive quality assurance procedures backing a web-based platform for financial advisors. Moving far beyond abstract system checking, you will be responsible for validating intricate data-heavy applications, data pipeline initiatives, and complex ETL streaming structures. This role demands a seasoned QA practitioner who possesses exceptional query-based verification skills, understands data integrity constraints across integrated workflows, and can confidently translate technical data errors into actionable preventive protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Quality Ownership: Participate in the structural development, long-term maintenance, and absolute ownership of quality assurance procedures, work instructions, and testing standards related to core data pipeline initiatives.
  • SQL-Driven Validation Testing: Plan, write, and execute comprehensive test plans and query scripts natively within SQL environments to validate data integrity and track root cause errors across analytical datasets.
  • End-to-End System Integration: Lead rigorous verification sequences across full product cycles, encompassing comprehensive functional, regression, integration, user acceptance (UAT), and end-to-end testing models.
  • Root Cause & CAPA Governance: Oversee causal analysis tracks for software nonconformities, implementing Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) procedures to structurally resolve customer complaints and data tracking drops.
  • Metric Accumulation & Risk Mapping: Track, document, and report key quality performance indicators and software trends to maintain transparent project logs for executive trend analysis.
  • Exploratory REST API Auditing: Conduct baseline exploratory data verification and network transaction validations across integrated platform interfaces utilizing post-routing postman suites.
  • Agile Collaboration: Participate actively in continuous Scrum ceremonies, syncing with backend data engineers and product managers to improve long-term software delivery protocols across the development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of verified professional history running software quality assurance, technical validation testing, manual data auditing, or engineering QA pipelines.
  • Deep, hands-on operational experience testing data-heavy applications, multi-tier ETL pipelines, data streaming engines, or API-driven application integrations.
  • Expert-tier proficiency using SQL database queries to evaluate data model correctness, database transformations, and table integrity rules.
  • Demonstrated history managing product issues, tracking bugs, and engineering test cases inside standardized test management suites like Jira, TestRail, or similar tools.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with a solid Upper-Intermediate command of the English language to document defects clearly to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Location Context: Full-time remote consultancy parameters open exclusively to qualified quality assurance engineers permanently based within Ukraine, Poland, or Croatia.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience evaluating system reliability or transaction validity natively within banking networks, financial management applications, or insurtech ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with documentation configurations inside Confluence and practical exposure to how manual quality controls integrate with automated CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with an exceptional ability to establish testing protocols autonomously within an agile workspace.

What We Offer

  • The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct data quality standards for an intricate, high-visibility financial advisory web ecosystem.
  • Highly competitive, contract-calibrated consulting metrics paired with explicit pathways for technical rank promotion and competence development.
  • Profound work-from-home remote parameters providing a flexible environment, great personal lifestyle autonomy, and zero geographical office constraints.
  • Cooperation alongside an elite team of smart, reflective software professionals within a dynamic workspace engineered with a low level of bureaucracy.
