About the Role: Apex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Water Resources Professional to join our team. As a Senior Surface Water Modeler, you will use your expertise in integrated surface and groundwater modeling to solve complex water resources challenges and deliver exceptional service to our clients.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage integrated surface/groundwater models using MIKE SHE and MIKE 11.
- Create modeling input files from scratch and perform model calibration and scenario analysis.
- Edit and create grid files, program MIKE 11 structures, and post-process grid and MIKE 11 result files.
- Manage project schedules, oversee financial performance and budget, and communicate technical findings effectively with clients.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, hydrogeology, geology, environmental sciences, or an earth science-related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience with MIKE SHE / MIKE 11 modeling.
- Solid understanding of ArcGIS, hydrology, hydraulics, and hydrogeology.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client interaction abilities.
- Willingness to travel to Tampa or Fort Myers offices as needed.
